Mistletoe vs. Wine

Image
Hey there, Chauntelle here!  Thanks for stopping by and checking out this quick card that I made using the Wine Glass Shaped Card cutting file from The Cutting Cafe !!  This file was super easy to work with and served as the BEST sentiment for me to send to a really good friend who shares my love of wine for the holidays!! I used a sentiment purchased from the Silhouette Store and turned this cutie into a shaker card!!  I love how it turned out!  Thanks again for stopping by today and from my home to yours.....Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Peace, Love and Crafty Blessings, Chauntelle

Christmas Cheer

Image
Hello there, Chauntelle here!!  Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my post for The Cutting Cafe this 7th day of December!!  Well, the decorations are all hung and the halls have been deck at my home and this week's project was a sweet added addition to my holiday decorating madness!!  LOL!!  I used the very versatile Snowflakes Kisses Box file to create a stencil for the jar I altered.  Check out the file and you'll see why I say its versatile!! It has many uses; the file comes with a snowflake trim and that's what I cut multiple times (with vinyl) to create my stencils. I used a metallic gold spray paint by Rust-Oleum.  The snowflake that comes with the file I increased it in size a few times and created this layered look on the front and added a pearl. That gold is so bright and brilliant I just love it!!  Check out my youtube channel for a video showing this altered jar in more detail!!  Thanks so much for stop...

Spread Love - Christmas Treats for Giving!!

Image
Hey there, Chauntelle here!!  Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my design team post for The Cutting Cafe this 21st day of November!!  Such a joyous time of year is just ahead of us and what a better time than to share some "inexpensive" love with family, friends, co-workers, employees or clients!!  I love being able to share a little something with others and these files from Regina's shop are perfect for the job!!   Today I am showing you two files I used to create some treat holders to give to my family and some at the office.  I used the K-Cup Holder File and Sucker Treat Cup File and turned it into an ornament.  Although there is an ornament treat cup file the one I used has that scallop edge effect I wanted.  Both of the treat cup files were just on sale for Cyber Monday last week so I hope you grabbed yours!! Check out some pics!! I love the way they turned out and have several more cut to create more!!  Check...

Hey there, Chauntelle here!!  Let's go Gobble, gobble with some Gable Boxes!!  Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my blog post for The Cutting Cafe for the 7th of the month inspiration project! The holidays are fast approaching and what a better way to share with family some goodies (baked or crafted) in these adorable Gable Boxes !!  I honestly got addicted to cutting out this file....lol...so I created six total; I'm still working on decorating some of them but they'll be all done by Thanksgiving day when I plan to give them to some of my family members.   The little turkey "with no legs, I accidentally fussy cut them RIGHT OFF" (heehee) is from  The Cutting Cafe Shop , click on the link to check out all the stamps in that set.  Here's a quick pic of the other Gable Boxes I'm working on as well!!   Each box has plenty of room to fill with lots of goodies and treats!!  I plan to post a youtube video showing more of th...

Happy Friday!!

Hey there, Chauntelle here!!  Thanks for joining me today for another design team inspiration post!!  This project I love to create and give to my friends with small children, because my babies are grown up, and I don't bake!!  hahaha but I love to create with paper and this Milk Carton cutting file is no exception!!  I've said it before but again, I'm not really a Halloween type of girl but I DO LOVE pumpkins and I love the fact that The Cutting Cafe has Halloween files available for those who love the holiday but there are also files available that simply symbolize "Fall" and pumpkins are a huge part of the Fall season!! Check out my milk carton: Its so super cute!!  That pretty plaid paper was just sticking out to me so I knew I wanted to use it in this project; I softened the edges with some colorbox Chestnut Roan Ink and added it to the top of the carton and for the largest pumpkin.  I also used a piece of acetate to create that clear bac...

Let's Write A Letter

Image
Good morning peeps!!  Crafty Lee here!!  Thanks for stopping by and checking out my design team post for The Cutting Cafe this 21st day of September!!  Can you believe its September already??!!  Yikes, the year is just about done, kids are back to school, summer blooms are fading away and the sun is sleeping longer in the mornings! Oh, sorry, I digress.....LOL!! This period we are playing with the "Let's Write a Letter" printable file from The Cafe, well, although I LOVE this file and all the pretty printed papers, my project was completed using the Note Pad printable file (#computerproblems - gotta love it).  The best part about this change for me is Regina has so many files with so many different ways to use them that you can make adjustments as desired!! I'm not really a writer, although I love to text, I'd prefer a phone call but I do like "listing things", you know, making notes and jotting down things so I decided to create  a booklet that w...

Everybody needs a pencil!! Hey there, welcome to my blog post for these 21st day of August for The Cutting Cafe !!  Today we are celebrating "Back to School" season!!  I used the Pencil Shaped Card Cutting File to create these mini pencil shaped note cards that can be added to your child's lunch box or book bag with an encouraging note for their day!! This post comes at a bitter sweet time for me because my babies are no longer babies and I'm sad that I won't have a chance to put these cute little note cards in their lunch bags but.....#yolo...lol!!   Check out some pics! These cards measure about 4" x 1.5" so they are perfect for sharing in small places.  I heat embossed the sentiment in a glitter red embossing powder and used my punches to create the raised flower and stem. The file also comes with an envelope which I sized down to fit my mini note cards and added a "just a note" sentiment to them. Super cute proj...

This file was fun and easy to work with and a great break from summer crafting!!  Check out some pics! I added some matching string, tied in a bow and a few little jingle bells for fun!  The sentiment comes from a stamp set by The Cutting Cafe Shop - Fancy Holidays Thank you so much for stopping by today and happy crafting!!  Chauntelle

Super-Size THAT!!

Image
Hey there, Chauntelle here!!  Thanks for stopping by today to check out my post for The Cutting Cafe 's 21st of the month design team post!!  Super excited about this project!!  This time around Regina has challenged the team to create a project....any project...but "with a twist"....SUPER-SIZE IT!!!  We wanted to showcase for you the versatility of the cutting files available in the shop and I was up for the challenge!! I was looking to create a "by me" piece to hang in my craft room for some time now and this project gave me the perfect opportunity, although now I think I want to hang it up at my office or give it to my daughter!!  LOL!!  Guess I'll be creating more of these soon!! I found the perfect image from my Prima Doll collection, colored her up with my copic markers and added the word "BeaYOUtiful" as I have seen it displayed in other places and really wanted to create a piece of my own using this word! A large scallop and circle are ...

Hey there, Chauntelle here!!  Check out my latest card using the new clear stamp set Everyday Elisha Jean and Friends from The Cutting Cafe Shop !!  I can't say it enough that I love these clear stamps!  They stamp so well and clean up so nicely that I almost don't want to use my other stamps!!  ALMOST...LOL!   I'm also working on using some of the techniques I learned in my recent Copic class taking a few week's ago!!  I had such an awesome time learning and laughing with my classmates and instructor Cindy Lawrence! It was so much fun!! I have two nieces and a cousin with birthdays within a week of each other.....whew...makes for a busy card making month of May!!  Here's card number 2!! I also used products from 'Stampin up' to create the sentiment and die cuts for the numbers.  Elisha Jean is so stinking cute, don't you think!?  heehee Anywho, thanks for stopping by today, until next time!! Hello Friend - Card Share

Image
I am having a lot of fun playing with the new Everyday Elisha Jean & Friends Stamp Set available at The Cutting Cafe Shop !!  For some reason Ruby J is my favorite!!  LOL! Check out the card I made which was also my first time creating the pleated fold card and I am in love!!   I also used the word stamps included with the set to create the sentiment and to add a few hearts.  Ruby J's dress is paper pieced and although you can't really see in the picture her shoes, headband, pockets & earrings have been blinged with a glitter pen!! I popped Ruby J up on pop dots to give some dimension and laid her down on a lace doily.  The ribbon and flower come from my stash!! She's super cute!!  Head on over to The Cutting Cafe Shop and pick up this versatile stamp set today!!  Thanks for stopping by!! Blessings & Craft Happiness, Chauntelle

Wedding Bells a Ringing

Image
Such a beautiful occasion for LOVERs!!  Thanks for stopping by today to check out my "inspiration time" post for The Cutting Cafe for this 7th day of May!! In this project I used the Wedding Word Shaped Card to create a little album for a sweet young lady who will be tying the knot soon!!  I am so inspired by her love of ALL THINGS and I really just wanted to create something special for her!!  She is also a crafter and I'm sure she will appreciate it. The pages were cut first using manila folders because its a little heavier, than a DCWV designer stack all wedding related that I've had in my stash for awhile.  For extra security I used a piece of lightweight chipboard for the final page to ensure it was sturdy!! I love how it turned out and you can get more details on the items I used on my  YouTube  channel where I have uploaded a video!! Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Until next time, Peace, Love & Craftiness!! ...

No line coloring

Image
I really love creating projects for The Cutting Cafe and The Cutting Cafe Shop !!  There are so many versatile files you can create so many different projects with each cut file!!  I am super excited to be a part of the team to help introduce the new "clear stamp sets" coming available in the shop now!  This week we are featuring projects using the most recent bunch to get "polyed"... Photopolymer that is!!  Heehee   Check out my project using the Everyday Elisha Jean and Friends stamp set, now available in the shop!!  The papers I used are from the The Stamps of Life April kit , which I am loving right now too so I've been making many projects using the kit this week!!  I wanted to play with the "no line" coloring technique here so I used Versamark and clear embossing powder.  Then I colored her up with my copic markers!! I gotta tell ya, with this embossing technique coloring her hair was especially simple!! Here's the stam...

Clear View

Image
Hello!  Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!  Here I'm sharing some projects made using the Clear Card Stock available at The Cutting Cafe Shop !!  Let me tell you something....that stuff is durable!!  Its quite heavy (or thick) and can be made into a box or used in making shaker cards; which is one of the items I created.  It reminds me of those clear portfolio sheets you can get at the office supply store but you only get 5 sheets!!  LOL!  You've gotta try it, I know you'll be hooked too!! So first I made a special card for a family friend....she's turning 70 this week!! I used a hexagon shape to create my opening on both the top layer and the base of the card. I was also able to use the cutout by layering it inside the card.  There was just enough space to place a blank sheet below it to write a special sentiment. See?! Now, who doesn't LOVE chevron !??  Well check out this cutie here: I create this card u...

Big Love, Big Expressions!!

Image
Hey crafty friends, its inspiration time over at The Cutting Cafe and I am super excited to share with you my projects!!  We are playing with the Big Expressions cutting file and it comes with four different sentiments; I was undecided on which ONE to focus on so I used three of the sentiments to create three unique cards. This cards were so much fun to make,  I used three different techniques to achieve each design. Here I took the "big expression - HUG " and colored it in the Silhouette Studio, I added the words above and below the HUG to create a greeting of sorts.  The adorable little penguin was too cute not to add in some way so the one on top right is adhered straight to paper; the one on the left has two layers AND he swivels!! Yup, I put him on an action wobble and he is super cute when flicked!! Here I used the "Big expression - SWEET " to create a shaker card!!  I've been really into shaker cards lately and he...

A bouquet of Birthday Wishes

Image
Good morning!!  Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!  This post is all about the famous " bendi card " craze going on right now.  Regina is so amazing that she decided to create a " Cutting Cafe " bendi card of her own to share with all of us and this week the design team post is all about showing off the bendi card!! I used some valentine paper in wine color and a flower print to create what I'm calling "A bouquet of Birthday Wishes" because I also used some flower sprays from my local store to accent the open areas of the card.  The sentiment comes with the file and I added an outline to help the words standout from the paper backing.  Some lace trim and string of bling finish off the bottom area.   Check out some pics! I hope you've been inspired to try this design, its pretty cool and don't worry if you want to mail it the file also comes with a box template made to fit the card perfectly!! Thanks for stopping by!! ...

You've Got Mail - Valentine

Image
Hey there, Chauntelle here!!  Welcome to my design team post for The Cutting Cafe this 7th day of January!!  It's definitely not too early to start planning out the valentine day sweet treats you'd like to share with family and friends and this week we are doing just that....playing with valentine day files from the cafe!!  I used The Mailbox Templete file to create this adorable self standing mailbox; to me it mimics the design of the blue mailboxes we have here in the U.S.A you find on street corners and such.  Everything I used came from the file with the exception of the butterfly, flowers and red hearts; those are all from my stash and RAKs received!  The gold hearts attached to the clothes pins are from the Target $1Spot; I heat embossed them gold from red and add a red rhinestone. I chose nontradition colors for this project because although its nice to use the reds and pinks only its also nice to change it up a little bit.  Gives...
