Blog Tour

Image
Hey there...Chauntelle here!!  Thanks for stopping by today!!  First I'd like to take a moment to thank Regina Easter for thinking of me to participate in the blog tour!!  I'm so enamored with Regina and her products that I jumped at the opportunity to work with her in the capacity!! My crafting started out as a longing to make personalized cards for my family and friends. I have since ventured off to altering things around the house; or brought for the house!!  LOL!! And even taking containers and re-purposing them into something new and useful!!  I'm in love with what I'm able to do! Would you like to get to know me a little better??  Check out my responses to the question below: 1. What am I working on?  Currently I am working on a few projects:  my next design team project, some 2015 calendars for my family I'd like to give them as Christmas gifts, a 2015 planner for my daughter AND I had this idea to make her...

Keep Calm and Plan On!!

Image
Hey there crafty friends!!  Here to share with you my design team project for The Cutting Cafe this 21st day of August!!  I was so super excited when Regina introduced to the team this awesome 2015 Planner Set !!  Not only does it come with almost EVERY tab you could think of needing in your daily life from family, work to crafting but you get blank tabs as well so you could do just about any add-on you wanted!! Click on the link to see all the extra!! I plan to use my 2015 planner for my craft projects, design team stuff and custom orders for my business so it will work perfectly to keep me organized and I can keep it separately from my business planner.  It will be more for project ideas, due dates and the such so its PERFECT!! Check out some pics...I used two pieces of heavy weight chipboard for my front and back cover in black. I also added this green "Pen Pal" holder I purchased from Staples some time ago for a different project but thought i...

Its All about the packaging!!

Image
Here there, Chauntelle here with another project for The Cutting Cafe Blog !!  This week's project was dedicated to the packaging; packaged gifts, treats, etc. it was all up to the crafter!!  As I mentioned in an earlier post I participated in Tmika's Shaped Card Swap and I chose The CD holder set which was PERFECT for the task!! Check out this cuteness!! I made 6 total to fit the tags I made for the swap.  This file was super easy to cut and put together, I even increased all four sides to make the package a bit thicker to fit the many, many embellishments I added to the tags.  Check out my video where I explain all the details: https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=27pstTpfTDw Here's a few front view pics! Here's a view from the size where you can see the depth of the packaging. I dyed some white seam-binding with a little walnut stain, added some lace trim and a button to finish off the packaging.  Super cute, quick,...

Happy Monday morning bloggers!!  I'm looking to "get my mojo back" for making cards and what better way to accomplish that then to play along with Mojo Monday Blog !!  I actually really like this week's sketch and was able to pull this card together in an hour while the first load of laundry was on its wash cycle....heehee!  Anywho, hope you are inspired to try it out!! Thanks for stopping by!!  Have a craft-ta-culous DAY!! Chauntelle

Shaped Gift Tags for Swap

Image
Hello, I wanted to share with you the tags I created for Tmika's swap on youtube.  My idea was all about the wood veneer word saying that I had in my stash.  I wanted to incorporate them into my tags somehow and in the process realized that I had a file with a speech bubble!!  Oh, perfect!!  Here's what I did: They are all sooo cute I can't decide which is my favor!!  How about you, which would you love to receive??!!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Let's Get This Party Started!!

Image
Hello there, thanks for stopping by today!!  I'm here with another design team project for The Cutting Cafe . This week we were able to play with some super fun hat files; I chose to create my project using The Party Hat file .  I thought it would be a nice idea to create an adult party hat but not for "New Year's Eve"; we adults like to celebrate too so this one is dedicated to the "40/40" Club!!   How cute would this be to add to your birthday outfit for that night on the town to celebrate the 40th birthday!!  A little paisley print never hurt nobody!! heehee The file also comes with accessory pieces: small and large letters, birthday greeting and hat top trimming!! I added a scallop circle with my sentiment, a cute Prima flower with an added brad in the center and stuck in a feather for flare!!  Its perfect!!  I just love it!!

Celebrating the Graduates

Image
Hello there, Chauntelle here again to share with you my design team project for The Cutting Cafe this 7th day of July, 2014!!  For this week's project we were asked to work with the A-Z Shaped Cards  file and I was, at the time of assignment, still caught up in graduation season so I used the letter B file to create some cards for some of my favorite "little" graduates!! The file was super easy to layer and cut with my Silhouette.  I was able to cut two cards on one 12 x 12 sheet of paper.  I used a calligraphy marker to add the "THS" to each card to represent the school "Burlington Township High School". I recently purchased the new Heidi Swapp color shine spritz in white so I tried a bit of that to make each letter sparkle!!  The letters with white centers were given to girls, the black centers were given to boys.  The cards were actually the perfect size to fit in a standard envelope and hold cash too. This pic is of the ...
