Good morning everybody!!  Welcome back to my blog today for a project share from The Cutting Cafe !!  Today we are doing something super special; we're having a blog hop!  Blog hops are super fun and gives you links to see many, many projects in one place at one time without having to search all over the place to find inspiration!!  You should be coming to me from Patti Gilliam  wasn't her project just lovely!!  OK, to create my project I used a combination of files which is quite easy to do with most of the files over at The Cutting Cafe!!  For my project I used The Stationary Box Set and the Monogram Set.    In this set you get everything you need to create some beautiful boxes (with or without a window); envelope maker template and monograms from A to Z with different shapes & designs!! There is also a blank monogram so you can customize it to your liking!!  Want to see more about how I made this project? Check out my video ...

Today's project I used the Cookie Jar Cutting File to create this cute card for my mother (whose like my friend) for her birthday on the 14th of this month....soooo.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY MOMMY too!! woot woot!! So, I tried using a new product I received in a monthly kit I order called Nuvo Mousse.  It seems easy enough to apply and is suppose to make your project glimmer.....I don't see it!  :o)  Nonetheless, I trucked on!! Here's a close up so you can see.  I...

Love Me 360

Image
Hey there, Chauntelle here and welcome to my blog post this 7th day of February for The Cutting Cafe !!  I really quickly and simply cut the Love Word Window card on my cameo and put together this quick card to attach to a gift.  It was super easy to do and the file comes with all the pieces you need, including a layer to cut some clear card stock for making a shaker card!!   Here's a look at what I did: I used paper from a new stack by Craft Smith called Bella Flora.  I picked up this paper pad at Micheals.  I added a pearl trim to hide the foam tape I used to create my shaker card area and a bling piece in the center of the letter O for fun.  This card, without adjusting the cut settings, measures 4" in diameter so it will fit in a standard sized envelope! Anywho, thank you so very much for stopping by and checking out my post for today.  Happy Crafting!! Chauntelle

Mistletoe vs. Wine

Image
Hey there, Chauntelle here!  Thanks for stopping by and checking out this quick card that I made using the Wine Glass Shaped Card cutting file from The Cutting Cafe !!  This file was super easy to work with and served as the BEST sentiment for me to send to a really good friend who shares my love of wine for the holidays!! I used a sentiment purchased from the Silhouette Store and turned this cutie into a shaker card!!  I love how it turned out!  Thanks again for stopping by today and from my home to yours.....Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Peace, Love and Crafty Blessings, Chauntelle

Image
Hey there, Chauntelle here!!  Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my design team post for The Cutting Cafe this 21st day of November!!  Such a joyous time of year is just ahead of us and what a better time than to share some "inexpensive" love with family, friends, co-workers, employees or clients!!  I love being able to share a little something with others and these files from Regina's shop are perfect for the job!!   Today I am showing you two files I used to create some treat holders to give to my family and some at the office.  I used the K-Cup Holder File and Sucker Treat Cup File and turned it into an ornament.  Although there is an ornament treat cup file the one I used has that scallop edge effect I wanted.  Both of the treat cup files were just on sale for Cyber Monday last week so I hope you grabbed yours!! Check out some pics!! I love the way they turned out and have several more cut to create more!!  Check...

No line coloring

Image
I really love creating projects for The Cutting Cafe and The Cutting Cafe Shop !!  There are so many versatile files you can create so many different projects with each cut file!!  I am super excited to be a part of the team to help introduce the new "clear stamp sets" coming available in the shop now!  This week we are featuring projects using the most recent bunch to get "polyed"... Photopolymer that is!!  Heehee   Check out my project using the Everyday Elisha Jean and Friends stamp set, now available in the shop!!  The papers I used are from the The Stamps of Life April kit , which I am loving right now too so I've been making many projects using the kit this week!!  I wanted to play with the "no line" coloring technique here so I used Versamark and clear embossing powder.  Then I colored her up with my copic markers!! I gotta tell ya, with this embossing technique coloring her hair was especially simple!! Here's the stam...

Clear View

Image
Hello!  Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!  Here I'm sharing some projects made using the Clear Card Stock available at The Cutting Cafe Shop !!  Let me tell you something....that stuff is durable!!  Its quite heavy (or thick) and can be made into a box or used in making shaker cards; which is one of the items I created.  It reminds me of those clear portfolio sheets you can get at the office supply store but you only get 5 sheets!!  LOL!  You've gotta try it, I know you'll be hooked too!! So first I made a special card for a family friend....she's turning 70 this week!! I used a hexagon shape to create my opening on both the top layer and the base of the card. I was also able to use the cutout by layering it inside the card.  There was just enough space to place a blank sheet below it to write a special sentiment. See?! Now, who doesn't LOVE chevron !??  Well check out this cutie here: I create this card u...

Big Love, Big Expressions!!

Image
Hey crafty friends, its inspiration time over at The Cutting Cafe and I am super excited to share with you my projects!!  We are playing with the Big Expressions cutting file and it comes with four different sentiments; I was undecided on which ONE to focus on so I used three of the sentiments to create three unique cards. This cards were so much fun to make,  I used three different techniques to achieve each design. Here I took the "big expression - HUG " and colored it in the Silhouette Studio, I added the words above and below the HUG to create a greeting of sorts.  The adorable little penguin was too cute not to add in some way so the one on top right is adhered straight to paper; the one on the left has two layers AND he swivels!! Yup, I put him on an action wobble and he is super cute when flicked!! Here I used the "Big expression - SWEET " to create a shaker card!!  I've been really into shaker cards lately and he...

A bouquet of Birthday Wishes

Image
Good morning!!  Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!  This post is all about the famous " bendi card " craze going on right now.  Regina is so amazing that she decided to create a " Cutting Cafe " bendi card of her own to share with all of us and this week the design team post is all about showing off the bendi card!! I used some valentine paper in wine color and a flower print to create what I'm calling "A bouquet of Birthday Wishes" because I also used some flower sprays from my local store to accent the open areas of the card.  The sentiment comes with the file and I added an outline to help the words standout from the paper backing.  Some lace trim and string of bling finish off the bottom area.   Check out some pics! I hope you've been inspired to try this design, its pretty cool and don't worry if you want to mail it the file also comes with a box template made to fit the card perfectly!! Thanks for stopping by!! ...

You've Got Mail - Valentine

Image
Hey there, Chauntelle here!!  Welcome to my design team post for The Cutting Cafe this 7th day of January!!  It's definitely not too early to start planning out the valentine day sweet treats you'd like to share with family and friends and this week we are doing just that....playing with valentine day files from the cafe!!  I used The Mailbox Templete file to create this adorable self standing mailbox; to me it mimics the design of the blue mailboxes we have here in the U.S.A you find on street corners and such.  Everything I used came from the file with the exception of the butterfly, flowers and red hearts; those are all from my stash and RAKs received!  The gold hearts attached to the clothes pins are from the Target $1Spot; I heat embossed them gold from red and add a red rhinestone. I chose nontradition colors for this project because although its nice to use the reds and pinks only its also nice to change it up a little bit.  Gives...

So Grateful

Image
Its November, time to set the big table, pull out the roaster pan, gather with family and friends to celebrate!  Happy Thanksgiving to you all and thanks for stopping by my blog for this November 21st The Cutting Cafe inspiration dt post!! This week we are playing with the With Gratitude printable file.  The files come with several different sentiments, shapes and designs.  I printed one 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of a background paper, layered it up, added some chalked edges and a few other elements and created a set of four "grateful" thank you cards to share with friends!! Each card is created as an A2 size card and work well with the other printable; outside of the card base I only added a mat of solid paper behind each cut of the printed sentiment.  Super clean and simple card set;  I'm thinking of making a few more sets this weekend!! Here's some individual pictures so you can get a closer look at each one: That printed paper looks so differ...

Ah-Choo!

Image
Good day all and welcome to my blog!!  Its Inspiration Time over at The Cutting Cafe !!  This week we've been asked to create a "Fall/Autumn" project; I've been using Regina's tissue box file  for a minute now to create seasonal tissue box covers and realized I didn't have one for Fall!!  So had to fix that ASAP!! This is the season for runny, itchy, watery eyes and noses (LOL) so tissues are definitely a most around here and why can't they be decorative!!?  So here's what I created: I love Fall and these colors are so magical to me!!  The sentiments are from the Welcome Fall  printable set and I added a banner sentiment on all four sides of the tissue box. Thank you so much for stopping by today and checking out my dt post!!  Check out the blog to see all the inspiration from the design team!!  Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win free files from The Cafe!! Blessings & Craft Happiness!! Chauntelle

File It Away!

Image
Hey friends and welcome back to another inspiration post for The Cutting Cafe !!  This week we were able to play with an adorable File Folder Box Holder cutting file Regina created and I absolutely love it!!  I kept this one really simple with just a little decoration; I'm letting the paper by DCWV stand out most, with this file folder created to hold my recently purchased butterfly stickers and how perfectly they fit!!  Check it out: I love working with Regina's files, they are easy to use, can be cut by hand or using a cutting machine and come in a variety of formats!!  Checkout the blog to see all that The Cutting Cafe has to offer and to see the design teams projects!!  Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win free files from the Cafe!! Back2School

Hey there my friends!!  Welcome to my blog post for The Cutting Cafe !!  I took a little break but I'm back and raring to get some crafty time in!!  I love designing projects for The Cutting Cafe , Regina's cut files are so easy to use, assemble and make great gift ideas too!!  This 7th day of the month we are playing with The Assorted Shapes Milk Carton file .  There are so many different reasons you can use this file and it was super easy to cut!  I decided to create gifts for my staff's children who have recently gone back to school for the 2015-2016 school year. I love gifting others and I know the "little people" (children) always enjoy receiving something special.  I created four milk cartons with different designer sheets of paper all by DCWV, a very old stack I have been hoarding for a few years now; The Celebration Stack. Check it out my creations: The file comes with several designs, this one cuts an apple image on...

Let's Make It Legal?!??

Image
Happy 7th day of the month ya'll!!  Have I told you how much I LOVE playing with the files from The Cutting Cafe !??  Love them!! So, its inspiration time!!  This week's project is dedicated to the awesome printable background sets available at The Cutting Cafe!!  So first things first....I collect/hold onto/hoard EVERYTHING (well maybe not hoard...lol) and our project this week had to involve an item that we would normal throw away after use....so for this project I planned to use this: because I just couldn't part with it any, it looked like something I could turn into "storage" in my craft space!  Instead I used it to create a gift for a young person's  birthday  (or older person) turning 21 or "feeling like" their 21!! I used some of that lovely tear-drop pearl trim I love so much to trim the inside and outside front (below) of the container.  I also lined it with a stripe of that cushion you can line your kitchen cabinets with....

It's Inspiration Time over at The Cutting Cafe blog !!  Thanks for stopping by today!!  This week we are playing with baskets!!  I chose to create a gift using the Round Basket with Handles file available - RIGHT NOW - from The Cutting Cafe !!  It's Administrative Professionals Week and I have a few employees that I like to celebrate each year; if you've been following my blog you've seen gifts I made for them in the past.   This file was super easy to work with, I love that it has the tabbed edges along the bottom of the file that easily attach to the bottom base for closure.  I used my cutting machine but this file is simple enough that it can be printed and cut by hand!! For the photo I placed some decorative flowers in the tiny vase with beads but I will be adding fresh flowers to this gift before the recipient gets it.  I really love how quickly it came together!! Regina always has some extra pieces or sentiments available with a f...

Hippity Hoppity

Image
Hello there!!  Welcome back to my blog for my dt project share for The Cutting Cafe !! Easter time is almost upon us and although the resurrection of our Jesus Christ is the general premise of the holiday our children (and me too) have grown up knowing all about the magic of Mr. Peter Cottontail!!  So, as most of you know, my children are older so we don't do the egg painting and such anymore but I do like to decorate the office a bit for the holiday.  In addition to some other items I have for decor I used the Tissue Box Cutting File to create this adorable holder for the office!! I love the way it turned out!! I used a 6x6 paper pad by Webster's Pages to layer up the box sides and an flower edge punch with green paper.  The cute little bunny is a wood piece I picked up at Target in a pack of like 8; the pastel styrofoam eggs are from The Dollar Tree and if you look to the right I have some egg shaped foam stickers to accent the other three sides of the box!!...

Get Organized

Image
Happy Crafty Day to YOU!!  Its Inspiration time over at The Cutting Cafe !!  This week we were able to create a project using any file from the Cafe; I wanted to create a personalized calendar so I used The Planner Set to create it.  I added pictures I have taken on road trips with my husband and some embellishments for  a little accent.   This project turned out to be a two for one because I was able to create a calendar to use all year long and get some scrap-booking done at the same time!!  Love It!!  I'm working on one for my daughter now with 12 pics of her dog....I'll share with you when its done!! Thank you so much for stopping by today!!  I hope you have been inspired!!   Blessings & Craft Happiness!! Chauntelle
