Let's Make It Legal?!??

Image
Happy 7th day of the month ya'll!!  Have I told you how much I LOVE playing with the files from The Cutting Cafe !??  Love them!! So, its inspiration time!!  This week's project is dedicated to the awesome printable background sets available at The Cutting Cafe!!  So first things first....I collect/hold onto/hoard EVERYTHING (well maybe not hoard...lol) and our project this week had to involve an item that we would normal throw away after use....so for this project I planned to use this: because I just couldn't part with it any, it looked like something I could turn into "storage" in my craft space!  Instead I used it to create a gift for a young person's  birthday  (or older person) turning 21 or "feeling like" their 21!! I used some of that lovely tear-drop pearl trim I love so much to trim the inside and outside front (below) of the container.  I also lined it with a stripe of that cushion you can line your kitchen cabinets with....

Trash to Treasure

Hey there, Chauntelle here!  Checkout my latest find a project share!!  I found two side tables really inexpensively priced.  I took them home, painted them white then used a sanding block to age them a little bit for some interest.  I really love the way they turned out plus this was my very first time distressing furniture!! In this first photo you can see some fabric I cut to size and added to the tops of each table....it too has uneven distressed edges for some interest...what you think?! I think they came out great and make perfect bedside tables because they are not too bulky and have two storage draws plus shelf space....can you see I put the remotes on one of them??!!  My bed is huge so to have these smaller tables was perfect!! I call this a done deal!!  I would like to try drilling a hole through the back leading into the draw to hide our charges but I can do that at a later date!!  Whelp, thanks for stopping by today!! ...

Chocolate Therapy!! Yum!!

Image
Hey crafty friends, I gotta tell ya, I do LOVE my chocolate!!  Yummy!!  Here is a project I created just to hold my chocolate treats when I'm sitting at my craft table!! I'm finishing up some Hershey's kisses from Christmas time but they are just as delicious as the Easter or Valentine wrapped kisses! Heehee Here I'm using the Paper Flowers Set from The Cutting Cafe to accent my mini muffin pans I picked up at the Dollar Tree.  You could by three sets and make 6 of these to give out to your family and friends, teacher, etc. It's an awesome little way to say, "thank you"; "I love you", etc. The bottoms of the pans are glued together to make this hour-glass shape; I've added some teardrop trim and lace around the top and bottom areas.  A bit more trim with tiny little scallops accent the center!! Sometimes chocolate is the best therapy!!  Oh YES, I do believe it!!  This cute little sentiment comes from the Sweet Goodness stamp s...

DIY Candle holders - Home Decor Hey there my crafty friends!! Thanks for stopping by today!!  I wanted to share a quick DIY project I completed today in just about an hour's time to help fill in the blank space on my mantel now that the Christmas decorations have been packed away!! Heehee This project was inspired by a pin on Pinterest and I added my own touches.  I hope you like it!!  Leave me some comment love and let me know what you think!! Supplies :  Candle stands from the Dollar Store; candle holders in a variety of sizes with vanilla candles to fit and a bag of coffee beans. Then I embellished each one differently with some twine, ribbon, flowers, bottle cap and a filigree.  Each one is different but easily fit together to create a set!!
