Season for Gift Giving

Image
Hey my crafty friends!!  Today I'd like to share with you my design team post for The Cutting Cafe - December 21st post!!  This week was a free week....Christmas themed; which was perfect for the holiday season and opportunity to fill that "last minute" Christmas gift giving list! Do you know the farmer who had a dog??  What was his name??  BINGO!!  Oh, yes!! LOL!! Bingo was a favorite game of my family's when we were growing up; the song and the board game!  Well guess who has a Christmas BINGO game in their shop??   The Cutting Cafe does!!  Yes, yes and I just had to create one.  I plan to present the game at Christmas, pull it out for the family to play and give a gift to the winner(s)...I bought three gifts - the fourth gift will be the BINGO game set! This pdf file was super easy to print and cut for assemble.  I cut a 12x12 sheet of 3/4" circles on my cameo in green and red for the chips.  A box with clear top that I normally use to hold car

So Grateful

Its November, time to set the big table, pull out the roaster pan, gather with family and friends to celebrate!  Happy Thanksgiving to you all and thanks for stopping by my blog for this November 21st The Cutting Cafe inspiration dt post!! This week we are playing with the With Gratitude printable file.  The files come with several different sentiments, shapes and designs.  I printed one 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of a background paper, layered it up, added some chalked edges and a few other elements and created a set of four "grateful" thank you cards to share with friends!! Each card is created as an A2 size card and work well with the other printable; outside of the card base I only added a mat of solid paper behind each cut of the printed sentiment.  Super clean and simple card set;  I'm thinking of making a few more sets this weekend!! Here's some individual pictures so you can get a closer look at each one: That printed paper looks so different on

Hey people, how ya doing today!!  Thanks for stopping by my blog today for "Inspiration Time" from The Cutting Cafe design team!!  I love it when we have a free week of creating because the variety of projects the team creates is magical!!  Be sure to check out the blog to see what everyone came up with.  I was inspired by a youtube video I watched to create this globe shaped shaker card.  Here's how it turned out and I love it! The file I used is Snow Globe Shaped Card  and the sentiment is from the Silhouette Store.  My sequins is from Cartwrights Sequins .  The flowers, lace and beads are from my stash of goodness!! Here's another look after I added some sequins on the outer edge of the globe: I will store this card until January because it is going to my little princess god daughter for her birthday!  I know she will love it!!  I hope you have been inspired to go create too!  Don't forget to check out The Cutting Cafe blog for more inspi

Shak'em Up Baby!

Hello there, welcome back to my blog for another post for The Cutting Cafe !!  These week we are playing with Halloween Shaker Cards!!  I gotta tell ya, this card was a lot of fun to "think up" in my head but when I got ready to pull it together it nearly drove me "batty", literally!!  LOL!!  The file itself was NOT the issue, it was ALL me and my obsessiveness!!  Luckily for me, I had plenty of time to play around and I do love the end result! I used a clear sheet to print my sentiment on a laser printer; this ensured the ink would run later.  I pulled images from  Halloween Bag Toppers  file together to create my shaker card.  The spider webs I added at the very end because I really felt like it need something extra. Can you see the shimmer on the web?  That paper is so cool, one side is dull and the other side is shimmery, I just love it!! I gave my bats some glowing eyes using orange and yellow bling from my stash, the little bat on the bottom left i

Good day all and welcome to my blog!!  Its Inspiration Time over at The Cutting Cafe !!  This week we've been asked to create a "Fall/Autumn" project; I've been using Regina's tissue box file  for a minute now to create seasonal tissue box covers and realized I didn't have one for Fall!!  So had to fix that ASAP!! This is the season for runny, itchy, watery eyes and noses (LOL) so tissues are definitely a most around here and why can't they be decorative!!?  So here's what I created: I love Fall and these colors are so magical to me!!  The sentiments are from the Welcome Fall  printable set and I added a banner sentiment on all four sides of the tissue box. Thank you so much for stopping by today and checking out my dt post!!  Check out the blog to see all the inspiration from the design team!!  Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win free files from The Cafe!! Hey there my friends!!  Welcome to my blog post for The Cutting Cafe !!  I took a little break but I'm back and raring to get some crafty time in!!  I love designing projects for The Cutting Cafe , Regina's cut files are so easy to use, assemble and make great gift ideas too!!  This 7th day of the month we are playing with The Assorted Shapes Milk Carton file .  There are so many different reasons you can use this file and it was super easy to cut!  I decided to create gifts for my staff's children who have recently gone back to school for the 2015-2016 school year. I love gifting others and I know the "little people" (children) always enjoy receiving something special.  I created four milk cartons with different designer sheets of paper all by DCWV, a very old stack I have been hoarding for a few years now; The Celebration Stack. Check it out my creations: The file comes with several designs, this one cuts an apple image on the front of the carton.

Mini Note Pads

Image
Its been a minute but "I'm BACK"!!  Hey friends and welcome to my August 6th blog post for The Cutting Cafe !! This week's project we were able to play with two sets Mini Note Pad and Card Set or The Post It Note Box Set  I've used the post it note set in the past so I played with the Mini note pad set and love, love, love how they turned out!!  I used a variety of designer papers to create these uniquely made note pads.  The file comes with tags you can use but I created tags to go along with the theme of the note pad.  You can use one sheet of 12x12 double-sided paper and make THREE of these at once!! I think these Note Pads would make great gifts for family, friends or school officials!! Christmas List Themed Shopping List Themed Musician Themed and this one?!  Say your in a store or out somewhere and see a recipe in a book or someone tells you about a great recipe to try......Here's where you record it!! :o) This one I creat

Hello Birthday Boy!!

Image
Hey friends!!  Thanks for checking out my blog post today!!  Cards for men are usually more difficult to produce than women and children.  We want them to be custom but not "frilly" so sometimes it can be a challenge!!  Today I am excited to share with you a digital image and stamp set from Pink Bow Ties that can be used to customize cards for men!!  Welcome to Digital Wednesdays (DW) for Pink Bow Ties Stamp Company!!  I am in love with "Micheal's" suspenders, he really looks good in them!!   Micheal's image is digital and available FOR FREE , YES FREE .  All you need to do to access this FREE file is join the Facebook group "Fifty Shades of Color" and download the image to your computer. I also used the Birthday Wishes stamp set to add the sentiment and glitter embossed stars.  I found this (really old) tag "One of a kind" that I added to the bottom base on top of a stripe of red card stock, its popped up becau

Good morning crafters!!  Its inspiration time over at The Cutting Cafe !!  I'm here to share with you my project for the 21st day of May!!  This week's project we were asked to play with any of the " Treat Cup Cards " which are soooo awesome to create and send!! I gotto tell ya though (because when its easy I tell you) I had a little bit of a tough time figuring out how to layer all the pieces together!  I struggled for a while then I realized.....Regina has a video !!! OMGosh, instant relief...LOL!!  Anywho, here's my project share: I used the Hot Air Balloon file (there's 7 files in all); it also comes with a cut file for the box envelope to fit your treat cup card into but I have these clear top boxes so I just used one of them.  It will also fit perfectly into a small padded envelope.   Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog today!!  Head on over to The Cutting Cafe to see all the design team inspiration!!  Leave a comment for a

Let's Make It Legal?!??

Happy 7th day of the month ya'll!!  Have I told you how much I LOVE playing with the files from The Cutting Cafe !??  Love them!! So, its inspiration time!!  This week's project is dedicated to the awesome printable background sets available at The Cutting Cafe!!  So first things first....I collect/hold onto/hoard EVERYTHING (well maybe not hoard...lol) and our project this week had to involve an item that we would normal throw away after use....so for this project I planned to use this: because I just couldn't part with it any, it looked like something I could turn into "storage" in my craft space!  Instead I used it to create a gift for a young person's  birthday  (or older person) turning 21 or "feeling like" their 21!! I used some of that lovely tear-drop pearl trim I love so much to trim the inside and outside front (below) of the container.  I also lined it with a stripe of that cushion you can line your kitchen cabinets with.  T

Dangerous Curves Miranda

Image
Its Pink Fridays Hey everybody!!  Thank you for joining me today for "Pink Fridays" over at Pink Bow Ties !!  Today's dt project was created using Dangerous Curves Miranda and boy oh boy does she have "the curves"!! I love working with this stamp; she comes with two different hair-styles so you can change her up a bit!! I also LOVE the sentiments!! Mother's day is coming up quickly so I decided to get started on my cards to share with some of my very special Mommas.   For this one I added a little texture to her purse and wrap on her dress using  clear silver embossing powder.  I made her necklace and ring sparkle with diamond stickles!  Notice her braided ponytail!!? I love this one too; I went with a Spring-like background with some bright yellow paper as a matte.  Here I used my glaze gel pen to accent her purse, necklace and make those lips GLOSS!!  Here Miranda is ultra professional with her bob swooped to the side!! Ewww, love, love

It's Inspiration Time over at The Cutting Cafe blog !!  Thanks for stopping by today!!  This week we are playing with baskets!!  I chose to create a gift using the Round Basket with Handles file available - RIGHT NOW - from The Cutting Cafe !!  It's Administrative Professionals Week and I have a few employees that I like to celebrate each year; if you've been following my blog you've seen gifts I made for them in the past.   This file was super easy to work with, I love that it has the tabbed edges along the bottom of the file that easily attach to the bottom base for closure.  I used my cutting machine but this file is simple enough that it can be printed and cut by hand!! For the photo I placed some decorative flowers in the tiny vase with beads but I will be adding fresh flowers to this gift before the recipient gets it.  I really love how quickly it came together!! Regina always has some extra pieces or sentiments available with a file purchase and t
