Altered Spool - Valentine's Theme

Image
Hey there again!!  Ok, so this project is for a swap I am in...we had to alter a large spool.  I didn't own any large spools so I had to create one.  I really had so much fun with this project because it challenge me to do something I have never done before.  Check out some pictures: I used lots of prima flowers gifted to me by one of my crafty friends!!  I just love them so!! Do you see the pink heart there?  I brought that from the dollar store.  It was in a pack of about 10 hearts each on sticks; I removed the stick and hot glued the hearts where I wanted them on this project. In this picture you can see prominently placed the bingo board piece I used from The Cutting Cafe , I thought it was perfect for this piece. Check out the back shot!!  heehee  I altered a large binder clip and used it to hold my bingo board and the small doily hearts I clustered to make into a fan.  I love it!! Thank you so much for stopping b...

Chocolate Kisses

Image
Hey crafty friends!!  Chauntelle here to share a card I created using a Cutting Cafe file ; clean and simple yet I love the way it turned out.  I really enjoy using the files from The Cutting Cafe because it doesn't matter if you have a cutting machine or not you can use your printer and an old fashioned pair of scissors!! Here's a few pics: I used a gray piece of card stock to print the image out on my printer; once cut I embossed it with my swirls folder. The top layer I printed and cut onto a piece of vellum paper.  I was really going for the effect of a traditional Hershey's kiss chocolate candy....you know.....how the paper shimmers!?  I also glitter sprites the entire thing but I'm not sure how well that technique is showing in the pictures.  The word "Kisses" is from a sticker set I picked up at Target and I used a banner die to cut out the shape of the closure.  I added some baker's twine and there ya go!! Hope you enj...

Kick off your BOOTS!!

Image
Hey there my crafty friends, Chauntelle here with another project share.  Today I wanted to create a project using the rain boot cutting file from The Cutting Cafe  to create a gift pouch using one of the Celebrate It bags from Micheals Stores.  I sometimes like to send gifts/RAKs to my crafty friends and this bag will hold some goodies for me to do just that!! The sentiment reads: "Rainy days were made for crafting, kick off your boots and dig in!!" I used some papers from Scrapbooking with me boutique to cover the bag; I fussy cut the tags and boot.  The boot I embossed with an Annie Griffith embossing folder that I covered first with some Hero Arts Tide Pool shadow ink.  I loved using this technique, the embossed area really stands out from the rest!!  Then I added a little bling, ribbon, a feather spray and a flower to finish it off!! Here's an inside view. Thank you for stopping by today, leave me some comment love and share t...

DIY Home Decor Project

DIY Candle holders - Home Decor Hey there my crafty friends!! Thanks for stopping by today!!  I wanted to share a quick DIY project I completed today in just about an hour's time to help fill in the blank space on my mantel now that the Christmas decorations have been packed away!! Heehee This project was inspired by a pin on Pinterest and I added my own touches.  I hope you like it!!  Leave me some comment love and let me know what you think!! Supplies :  Candle stands from the Dollar Store; candle holders in a variety of sizes with vanilla candles to fit and a bag of coffee beans. Then I embellished each one differently with some twine, ribbon, flowers, bottle cap and a filigree.  Each one is different but easily fit together to create a set!!

Let's Get Organized - "Celebrating YOU" 2014

Image
Hey there my crafty friends!!  Chauntelle here and welcome to my Monday Morning Inspirations!!  Each week I will bring to you something to get your juices going and help your creativity flow!!  I am hopeful that you will be inspired!! I love to create cards and share them with my friends and family during holidays, anniversaries, birthdays, etc.; the problem with that is....I sometimes FORGET!! :o)  So what I decided to try for 2014 is to create a card box file using this awesome cutting file from The Cutting Cafe to serve as a reminder of birth dates and placeholders if I want to create the cards in advance!! Two for One, I love it!!!  You could create this same file for other reason as well (e.g., sympathy, get well, reminders) the possibilities are endless and better than that Regina (owner of The Cutting Cafe ) has designed several different sentiments to go along with the box set!! Take a look!! I simply printed the images with my HP printer and cut th...
